COLOR BLINDNESS TEST SCALE COLOR BLINDNESS TEST SCALE WALL MOUNT VILNEKS MATERIAL SIZE 70 CM * 29 CM WHAT IS COLOR BLINDNESS? Color blindness is a fairly common condition, affecting more men than women. It is a disorder of the ability to distinguish colors. The most common type is the inability to distinguish red from green. In some rare cases, the inability to distinguish all colors and seeing the world as black and white. It affects one in every 20 men and one in every 200 women. Types of color blindness: Red color blindness if the cone cells sensitive to red are absent (Protonopia); Blue color blindness if the cones sensitive to blue are absent (blue color blindness); Deuteranopia if the cones sensitive to green are absent (Deuteranopia); Green color blindness if the cones sensitive to red are absent (Protonopia). In protonopia, a condition where there are no cones that distinguish red, only the color dark red will be invisible. Depending on the condition of the cone cells, the colors a person sees will be green, blue, and a mixture of these two. In deuteronopia, where green-sensitive cones are absent, only red and blue and their mixtures will be seen. Green colors will be indistinguishable. When only one cone is present and the other two are absent, a color vision problem is called monochromatic color blindness. For example, if only blue cones are present, and red and green cones are absent, the person will be unable to distinguish green and red. Because monochromatic color blindness can only identify blue and yellow, this condition is called red-green color blindness. If all three cones are absent, a person with this condition can only perceive colors as black and white (anopia). A person with this condition is considered completely color blind. Some people are trichromats but have poor color discrimination abilities. This is called a color vision disorder (Color Vision Anomaly). Color Blindness Test Scale.
