The Tübinger hip abduction orthosis, developed by Prof. Dr. Bernau, provides the best conditions for your child's hip joint to develop fully and smoothly. The optimal hip position for this is the "squatting position." This is the same position your child assumes in the womb before birth. With the orthosis, your baby's prosthetic hip joints are bent at a 90° angle and slightly opened. While this may seem unusual at first, it's actually just a continuation of the prenatal phase. This allows your baby's hips to continue developing under the same optimal conditions as in the womb.
